NWS Outlook: “Onshore winds will strengthen today in response to deepening low pressure in the lee of the Rockies. Moderate to strong onshore winds will prevail tonight through Tuesday morning as the low move east. Winds will relax Tuesday afternoon as a cold front approaches the region. The respite from the stronger winds will be short lived as speeds increase again on Wednesday in the wake of the front.”
