NWS Outlook : ” MODERATE ONSHORE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH THIS MORNING… HOWEVER GUSTY WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THUNDERSTORMS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. SOME THUNDERSTORMS COULD BE STRONG OR SEVERE. KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST FORECAST IF PLANNING TO VENTURE OUT TODAY. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE OFF THE COAST TONIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. BREEZY NORTH WINDS DEVELOPING BEHIND THE FRONT ARE EXPECTED TO REACH ADVISORY LEVELS TUESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. WATER LEVELS ALONG THE WESTERN SHORES OF THE BAYS AND THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL MAY FALL TO BETWEEN 1 AND 1.5 FEET BELOW NORMAL LEVELS BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. GRADUALLY WEAKENING NORTH WINDS AND LOWERING SEAS CAN BE EXPECTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE AREA. “
